“Be thankful for everything that happens in your life; it’s all an experience.” Roy T. Bennet

Amal Academy has been quite a beautiful journey. A ride, I’ll always remember and it will have a special place in my heart.

I was really excited when I got to know about my selection in Amal academy. When I got the email which stated that I’m selected for Amal Academy, I completed the final step for confirming my place right away not even waiting for the call from Sir Anis our Program Manager.

When I joined for the first session, It really lived up to my expectations and I was happy that I made this choice. The first two weeks were really amazing as we were new to each other. I did my best to participate in the sessions and I really enjoyed it.

Objects and Experience

It was difficult to decide as there were many things but they collectively reminded me of Amal Academy but not just two weeks. But then I decided I will go with three things; two objects and one activity.

So, the first object that reminds me of the first week is definitely my register. I solely purchased it to use it during my Amal Academy period.

When I started my first online course, I was not that much of a notes maker but after listening to Sir Anis I was really motivated and decided that I will start making proper notes.

I have decided that I will always keep it so that it will remind me of the start of Amal Academy and also, it has all the information I wrote during the online courses and sessions.

The second thing is the first Life Map I made during our online Session.

I have also kept my first Life Map safely as it reminds me of what our motive was in the Amal Academy and how reflecting and connecting the dots helps us in moving forward in the future.

The last experience I’m going to share is about an activity I did with a fellow. It was a case study in the online course named as “Lums Case Study”.

After completing the course we did an activity in the online session in which there were two characters and our facilitators asked us to volunteer for the activity.

I volunteered for the activity and along with me a fellow Kainat Saif volunteered. In that activity, we had to show communication and convincing skills. Although it was just an activity but Kainat did really well and didn’t let me convince her. Her expressions and arguments really helped me to know more about convincing power. This activity encouraged me to make my communications better and now I know what points do I have to work on to improve myself.

I discovered that there are a lot of spaces in me that need to be filled in order to attain my best self. Also, I learned that life is a name of continuous learning and improvement. I have decided to always keep on learning and always helping others to grow collectively and as well as individually.
